  1. hey guys,
lately when i cap DVB using ProgDVB or the capture program that came with my card, i get some problems while trying to xvid it.
sometimes i get this error message with virtualdub-mpeg2:
    http://img98.echo.cx/img98/3697/17vp.jpg
but the problem i want to ask about, occurs even if this error doesn't appear so i don't think it's the issue.
    anyway, the problem is:
i delete the first seconds from the wav file in order to make the xvid sound in sync, like always, and it works fine and in sync.
in some stage, there is some weird error in the picture and a green color or something, and after that, the audio is not in sync anymore.. the sound comes before the talking.
BUT, the weird error happens in the original mpg file, but the sync stays fine in the mpg file. the sync-error occurs only in the xvid file after the odd error.
i must find a way to fix it. please help

try "fix" the recorded video with pvastrumento or projectx.

  3. thank you very much.
i fixed the mpg with pvastrumento. it found the errors in the right times.
i need to re encode as xvid to know if the problems are solved, but i think they are.
    thanks alot!

  5. blah
when i said it worked, i encoded only one minute before and after the error happens.
after i fixed the mpg, i tried to encode the whole thing together and it happend again even with the fixed mpg

    ---- edited message - update:
    i can't believe it
all i did is "scan" in pva strumento
i thought it fixed it all but i didn't re-save the mpg
now i did.. hope it will work now
