Hi sorry for the stupid question but, I have burnt a film to DVD - and then found out that my stand alone player wont play DVD - properly, If I copy the film from the DVD - to a DVD + will it work ??????

Who knows? depends on if your DVD player handles DVD+ better. If so, just do a ISO read, ISO write with DVDDecrypter.

Maybe it could be that particular brand of dvd-r you have used. Try different media eg TY, Ritek, TDK etc...
I would also be helpful if you stated your dvd player make + model and the media used.
