I have just upgraded to Microangelo 5.5, had 5.0 installed but desktop utility didn't work in XP. When pc starts up I get message that Microangelo is trying to start up but is already started. Using msconfig I can see that there is two of the start up exe there. However when I go to reg key .....run there is only one instance of it there. I would rather nor use selective start up to stop it trying to load twice - although it does stop it. Should I just uninstall and then remove any mention of it from registry and then reinstall again?

Also start up procedure is now a lot slower since I added wireless network to the pc. Loads some stuff very quickly then seems to pause for about a minute before loading in Panda AV, Zone Alarm, network adapter and network host. I have tried selective start up but it just loads the desktop quicker then still pauses for minute or so before loading in network etc.
Am I just impatient and networks take a time to negotiate etc - wireless router is always on so shouldn't have to wait for it to negotiate a connection before running network on pc.

You might want to use a start-up analyzer program like RegSeeker or a2HijackFree. Programs can start in different ways than just the Run keys in the registry.

My laptop also boots slower as it attempts to re-establish the wireless connection. You can tell it not to "always reconnect to this network" but that kind of defeats the purpose of the whole thing (unless you travel a lot and use different networks). It might have to be something you live with. Some connection managers that come with wireless cards are slower than others. I have found that letting Windows manage the connections seems to be faster than the program that came with my wireless card. Using encryption and/or MAC filtering can also slow things down but that's the price for security.
