My real problem is when I install the ati dvd player it overwrites something in the TV program and the options to capture are gone and the Digital VCR has disappeared in the settings.

Are you trying to capture copyprotected material? I remeber reading in another post where some of the recording features in MMC will be disabled if your viewing copy protected material.

there are no options to capture anything. I do not have a record button in the MMC Tv Prog and the digital vcr option disappears from the settings as soon as the ATI dvd program is installed

The DVD player software is ancient crap, cineplayer or something. Don't waste your time on it. Use PowerDVD or WinDVD for playing DVDs. Just use ATI MMC for capturing video with the ATI AIW card.

Smurf that would be fine and I am more than willing to do that but if I reinstall the MMC it Knocks not only the ATI DVD but also DVD for media player 10. You got any ideas why it would do that? I appreciate the help
