There is a dip switch that allows you to set the aspect ratio of the input. All my sources are 4:3. Would it be possible to capture or convert these to 16:9? Or Anamorphic?
I tried setting the dip switch to 16:9, captured, then made a DVD with TMPGenc set at 16:9 output. It didn't work. The output looked a little squashed.

DV 16:9 will look horizontally squashed when viewed as 4:3
Alternative is letterbox.
I hate the misuse of the term Anamorphic. It actually means using a special optical compression lens during the shoot and a reciprocal lens or cylindrical distortion algorithm during display. DV 16:9 is horiz linear not cylindrical optical.
Usually the cylindrical anamorphic distortion is removed during telecine transfer so it is rare any computer user needs to deal with it.

The dipswitch is located on the second set of dipswitches.
#4 is aspect ratio enable.
#5 is aspect ratio selection (4:3, or 16:9)
