Hello,
I want to capture MPEG2 from my Hauppauge WINTV PCI to put it on DVD, so I want to capture interlaced.
I have the trial versions of WINVDR PRO 3.6 and CHRIS-TV 4.5.
I rather like the picture quality of WINVDR but it uses constantly 100% of my CPU and when a lot of motion, it loses some frames.
Christv doesn't suffer from lost frames, but the picture is more noisy.
Can someone advise me for some settings of my PC and WINVDR so I can capture full size (PAL 720x576 interlaced) without dropping frames ?
I have a Pentium 4 - 2.66MHz- 512MB- HD 120GB+80GB Win XP

PS Is the recording with WINVDR really interlaced because I can't see the interlaced lines as in Christv on the PC screen
PS I can record in AVI with VirtualVCR and then encode wiht TMPGENC but that takes a lot of time and with longer movies there is a lipsynch problem.
On a TV screen the result isn't better than direct MPEG2 capturing, except for the noise with Christv.
