I am looking for an easier way to incoporate two video tracks (shot at the same time from different angles) with the master audio track. I have been able to achieve this using ULead Videostudio 7 SE Basic, but syncing the second track (I have used the audio from the first track) so lips move in time with words and symbols are hit in time with the sound is extremely tedious and time consuming. My first track is a continuous video & audio track and the second video track is made up of short clips from different angles. Is there an easier way to do this?

Man walk on road. Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk down middle, sooner or later, get squished just like grape. You karate do "yes," or karate do "no." You karate do "guess so," squish just like grape. Understand? Mr Miyagi - 1984

I use Vegas, so I'm not sure if this will help, but here goes. Vegas, like many others, gives you a graphical representation of the audio as a wave int he audio track. When I am syncing multiple angles, or even trying to correct a sync problem, I find using the wave forms to match up is much more accurate than video. Once you have the clips in place, you can mute the audio from these segments so you only get the main audio track.
As for a way to simply lay them all out for you, I don't have an answer. There is a set of scripts for Vegas, but I believe they rely on two continuous video clips, not segments.Read my blog here.

For your current video look for visual stuff you can line up such as a cymbal being hit.
For next time you shoot get a visual cue at the beggining and end of the video, once you start shooting let both cams run. Just line up the starting cue, check to make sure the ending cue is synced and your in business. Lock the tracks on the timeline (not sure if you can do this with VS7) then cut out whatever you don't want from the secondary video. -
Yeah, the idea of recording both tracks continuously and using a cue point should work well. I am hoping I can chop out the unwanted bits of the full track and the individual clips will stay put.

I have found that just about every video I have taken at an "event" there is always someone coughing during the quiet parts, why is that?
I just tried to cut out segments in the main video track using Ulead but the dang video wants to join up again rather than leave a void so the secondary clip will show
