    OK this is weird.

    before i got my dvd player, i used to hook up my laptop to my TV and the picture was fine. yesterday i tried again after a couple of months just to show an mpeg to a couple of friends and...

    surprise: the picture is black and white

    i tried to play around but i couldnt fix it. what happened? is it possible that i've inadvertently changed some settings on my machine that could explain that?

    If you are using S-Video connections, the most likely cause is a bent or broken pin in one of the plugs.
