Ok my second problem(hopefully you guys can help me out while I work on my first problem).

Basically I have about a half dozen or so wmv files that I want to burn to dvd so they are playable on a dvd player and look ok.They are about 100mb each(some a bit less some a bit more), I'm not really bothered about menus and such.I converted one to mpeg2 with AVS video converter but it came out almost 700 mb and took ages. Can you advise me the quickest/easiest way of getting them onto dvd so they look half decent.

    Thanks

Use exactly the same guide (and methods) I recommended in your other thread
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Whoah you guys are good.

Btw I'll probably be back for more help since I kinda suck at this.

Will the wmv files stay a smallish size or will they end up huge?I really want to put them all onto one dvd.

    Thanks again!!

The size they turn out is all to do with their running times and the bitrates you choose to use. Again, input the total running time you want to get onto the DVD into the bitrate calculator and it will tell you what bitrates you need to use to make that happen. I'm positive my guide tells you that ?

Make sure you read, read, read, read, google search, read, read, read, and ummmm .... oh yeah, read .... some more. Almost everything you could possibly wish to know about video has probably already been covered in the forums here, so before asking a question make sure you do a forum or google search to see what you can find. Also, lose yourself in the guides section (to your left). There's guides for just about everything you want to do.
    If in doubt, Google it.

If you want to retain picture quality the MPEG2 files for DVD will probably be larger than the WMV files. MPEG2 doesn't compress as much as WMV.
