Hello all!
2 questions only.
WinAVI-5 of my movies have another part of another movie (for instance, part of Freaky Friday on Aladin). Is there something I am doing wrong like, I need to delete the dvd_0 file rather than (when I used dvdSanta) record over the dvd_0 file with a new movie file?
DVD-Okay and 4 of my movies work fine on the computer's dvd player but on the Panasonic HT-900 home theater, the images are like.....a bad VHS tracking issue. AND...the images are all black and white. Forget about sound cause, there isn't any. I was using "Staples 'up to 8x compatible' DVD-R". Now, I am using "Maxell 'up to 8x compatible' DVD-R". I tried the new DVD's on the old dvd player and it wont work there either. However, all previous staples ones worked fine....any suggestions?
BTW, all the PREVIOUS ones that were burned was using dvdSanta. I just recently switched to WinAVI as, my computer will not allow dvdSanta to work and automatically delete's it (since my latest VIRUSCAN update patch of 4 days ago) and it will not allow the program to even install now.
Thanks in advance!

1. Disable your antivirus when using DVDsanta, or make an exception for it.
2. I'm having lots and lots of trouble understanding what exactly it is you're doing, how/why you're doing it and what you're actually getting as an end result. To me it sounds like you are letting WinAVI write over the top of existing files each time - not a good idea. Output to a new directory for each movie, or alternatively clean the directory out after burning or otherwise storing finished product each time.
3. Black and white images indicate trying to play PAL on an NTSC DVD player. Most likely your sources are PAL movies (Use GSpot on your files, and I'll bet they're 25fps). If this is the case, you need to tell WinAVI to output to NTSC.
4. No sound and a really ordinary picture point towards non-dvd-compliant files. Check out What is DVD? (top left) for dvd compliance standards. If in doubt, Google it.
