    Hi, I have a Toshiba DVD Recorder with harddrive. However I am confused about the DVD brands. Memorex DVDs always seem to skip and stuff on this. I was told Imation is good or Fuji Film
    What brand of discs is more compatible?
    Also how do you know HOW to find the perfect disc that will work best with that recorder and be most compatible in other players
    please help me! Thanks in advance

    I have a Toshiba DR2 (no harddrive). I've had success with Imation -R, TDK -RW and Memorex -RW.

    As I recall, the Toshiba manual recommends Taiyo Yuden.

    I have the Toshiba XS-32.

    For DVD-Rs, I've successfully used Ridata 4X, Sony 8X (which burns only at 4X on this machine), TDK 4X.

    The machine is very particular with -RWs. It won't accept the Memorex 2X. I have so far found only Maxell 2X works.
