  1. Is there a way to author a DVD without having to save the image? Im very low on disc space right now and yes I plan on buying a new HD this weekend. But I just want to get this finished asap if possible. Thanks in davance

    Hi cw_ek9,

    Authoring is the process of taking your input files (audio, video and any subtitles), creating menus and chapters (if required) and the compiling all of this into the VOBs alon with the required IFO and BUP files.

    Therefore, by design, authoring produces an output that is written to hard drive. Whether this output can be written anywhere else, I don't know...

  3. Just put your source material on a DVD RW as "normal data" and do the "real authoring" if you have your new HD...
