I'm getting a consistent error from Canopus Procoder 2 when trying to encode an mpg file to their NTSC Divx format. It says the conversion is ended because of 'Procoder detected stalling in thev conversion' and suggests that the source may no longer be available. The source is not only available, but available on a large, practically-empty SATA hard drive. A gb of RAM, too, so my computer specs are excellent. Any ideas?

test another tool and see if it works, some good divx encoders:
dr.divx
autogk
virtualdub-mpeg2
dvx -
Thanks Baldrick!
Will each of those suggestions support source files with AC3 audio?
