  1. I have converted a episode of a T.V. series from AVI to DVD and the file is 1.1GB. This file contains VOBS, IFO's and BUP all in a folder called DISK_0.

I have more episodes I want to convert and put around 4 episodes on one disk.

How do I do this? I can't put 4 lots of VOB, IFO's and BUP into a single VIDEO_TS because it asks me to replace them. Can I rename them?

    Any ideas?

  2. Two options come to mind:

    1) Join all the avi's together and then convert to DVD using your current application (what is it BTW?)
    2) Encode each avi to a seperate DVD compliant mpeg using a standalone encoder. Then author to DVD using a proper DVD authoring program.

I would reccomend option 2. It will provide a lot more flexibility in authoring your DVD in terms of menus, chapters, episode selection etc. It will probably aslo give better quality than using a one click all-in-one solution as you seem to be doing at the moment.

  3. I am using WinAVI to convert the files over. I didn't know you could add all the AVI's together. How do I do this? I'm not bothered about menu's chapters etc to be honest. I just want a DVD with about 4 episodes on it that run one after the other.

If you don't care about menus and just want the episodes to run after each other (you can skip to each episode because each one is a separate title) then here is what I have done:

    1) Convert each AVI to a separate DVD format

    2) Use DVDShrink
Use REAUTHOR button. Add each title you want to add to the DVD by access the title in the right pane and dragging it over to the left pane. Now click on backup button to create a single .ISO file which will be burned to DVD by DVDDecryptor.
The best part is that DVDShrink and DVDDecryptor are both free!

  7. Ok, it's not free but you could use dvd2one in join mode and add each authored set into one. Doing it this way you can either keep the titles seperate (the non seamless option) or join them (the seamless append to last title set option).
well that's how i do it anyway with no problems.
