Newbie here, needing all the help I can get.
Just recently purchased a Sony KDF42WE655 HDTV and home theater setup and am currently using the HD cable box from Brighthouse Cable.
I'd like to buy a standalone DVR with a HDD. I'm really not interested in paying for TiVO service. I can get a HDD recorder from Brighthouse for an extra $9 per month but it doesn't contain a DVR for DVD's.
1. What type of setup whould be best?
2. What would be the best standalone DVR and HDD to get?
3. Where would be the best place to buy this at?
Thanks in advance!
