    I have a piece of MPEG2 video I captured with my Hauppauge PVR USB2.
    When trying to cut out a certain sequence with MPEG-Tools' Merge and Cut I only get video without sound, although the original video plays okay in WMP.
    During the process TMPGenc goes from video to multiplexing without audio processing.

    Any cures for that?

    Yes, use videoredo or mpeg-vcr or tmpgenc mpeg editor or a free tool like cuttermaran. tmpgencs editor is very bugggy.
