First of all, this topic is the followup to https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=262426.
Now my problem concerning subtitles is that the original .mkv file had beautiful, colored well edited subtitles, which I extracted (.ass file). Now, having tried many different things, what I would like to do is to hard-encode the subs in the .avi file, without losing the formatting of the .ass file. In other words, if it is possible, the appearance of the final .avi file should be identical to the original .mkv file, except that the subtitles would now be hard-encoded instead of being optionnal softsubs. How should I do this?
Thanks in advance!
