I recently got a DVD rip of "Meet the Fockers", but there's a lot of problems with the movie playback.

Apparently, the video stutters every now and then in numerous scenes, and this causes the audio to desync with the video.

I opened one of the .vobs of the DVD with VirtualDubMod and went to "Video--->framerate" and clicked "adjust to sync video with audio".

It still didn't work at the parts where the sound desyncs! I tired manually changed the framerate, and I got VERY close to getting perfect lip syncing, but then I thought... will I have to do this with ALL of the .vobs?

SO the question is, WILL I have to manually resync all the .vob files, save them to my hard drive, and reauthor the DVD using Uleadmoviefactory 4.0?

  2. Tyr a very simple thing if you have TMPGEnc. Use the MPEG options > Simple Demultiplex. Open the VOB file and demux. Then select Multiplex and mux again the two streams to MPEG. But note, you will get MPEG file this time. But it will be same as VOB and can be used to author DVD.

Sometimes simple demux / mux will solve the sync problem.
When I was born I was so shocked that I could'nt speak for 18 months.

I'd rerip the VOBs from the DVD
    If in doubt, Google it.
