  1. Do you have any plans to add the ability to use subtitles in the final release?
That would REALLY come in handy for me (as well as some others, I'm sure) ... that way I wouldn't have to 'demux' my mpegs and use a different program to add subtitles and remux, burn, etc. etc.

    Thanks

As stated elsewhere on the forum: Subtitles are defiantly planned (along with a bunch of other stuff). It is likely that I will start work on these after 2.0, so more like 2.1.

  3. I apologize for not skimming through the forums and looking for the answer myself It's been a while since I've been here so there's a lot of information to look through ... (A short lazy moment, I guess)

As for the Subtitles, that's great news ... (Though I can tell you're not looking forward to tackling that particular issue ...) I appreciate the quick reply...

One more question - When I ran through the "What's New" of RC7, I didn't see anything that referred to the character limit problem in RC1 ... was that addressed as well?[/quote]

    No worries.

(Though I can tell you're not looking forward to tackling that particular issue ...)
Not true. In fact there is a fair bit of the code in place already. However, for it to be robust would take some time & would delay v2.0. Things like the framerate changes from NTSC Film to NTSC and PAL to NTSC complicate this.... It is quite a major addition that warrants a version to itself - not shoehorning it into the current one.... But it will be done!

i suspect the character limit is resolved....
