  1. The open source OS X emulator for the x86 platform, pear pc, is gone.
    We have a bad and a good news for you. The bad thing is that the PearPC.net website will be closed. The cause is that PearPC and its community is dying. There has not been a new release since forever and there is really no development at all.
    I've used this emulator and it was quite a nice piece of software.... its really too bad to see it go!

    Both of which are in their early stages, that's why it runs so slow. Its very hard to emulate a PowerPc processor on windows.

    BTW this was an april fools joke.

    I've been hearing about this and have heard that its pretty slow right now. Look forward to when it will run OSX smoothly.

    Its actually getting alot better. The new Altivec versions are running alot faster.. And now they have an easy to install GUI called Runner, I'd give it another try.

    I'll keep using my Powermac emulator, its perfect everytime. Its call a powermac G5... oh wait thats not emulation.

    I had one of those too but it doesn't work now (beige g3) so now it sits in a dark room collecting dust.
