Does anyone use DVD Shrink & AnyDVD as a good combo??? They do the same thing as DVD Shrink & DVD Decrypter don't they? only on the fly with AnyDVD and whats the diffrence between Smoth , Maxium Smoothness, Sharp (default), Maxium Sharpness?? and do you believe DVD Shrink to be more better then CloneDVD2.

Yes, they do pretty much the same thing. I prefer to use decrypter because a) there is less wear on the DVD drive copying across to the hdd for 6 - 8 minutes, than having it run for 80 minutes while srink does it's thing, and b) Shrink works much faster off a fast hdd than it does off the DVD drive. Decrypter is also much simpler for single layer disks (ISO read, ISO write, done)
If you use Deep Analysis and AEC you improve the quality of your output. The type of AEC required is dependent on the amount of compression the disk needs. Personally, I use sharp for most disks, because once the compressions atrts to get up there I switch to DVD Rebuilder with CCE instead.
I haven't used CloneDVD2, however it would have to be orders of magnatude better than Shrink to justify a US$50 price tag when Shrink is free. Given that CCE basic is only a few buck more, and combined with DVD Rebuilder can beat any transcoder hands down, I know where my money went.Read my blog here.

I think DVDShrink is better than CloneDVD for shrinking, but I do use CloneDVD for burning (I had problems with Nero burning movies, but CloneDVD I have none). CloneDVD is also handy for ripping as it can remove individual extras, replacing them with 1 black frame. You can replace extras in DVDshrink, but the replacement file still plays for the length of the original (eg if you replace a 1hour extra, when playing back, the extra replaced with shrink will play 1 picture for 1hour, clonedvd will play 1 black frame for about 1 second and go back to the menu). Can save heaps more room for the things you want kept this way. Especially handy if you want to replace a trailer that's played before a menu. DVDremake can do same thing, as well as replacing individual menu screens which Clone wont, but it's a lot harder to use than CloneDVD. DVDshrink can replace individual menu screens too, but it's the same thing as described above - however, it's still handy when replacing or removing complete menus in other languages that you'll never see anyway.

I use DVD Decrypter to burn when using Shrink, and VSO CopytoDVD when using rebuilder. Both work very well and produce solid results. I have used a solid black bitmap to replace a whole movie when creating an extras only disk back (having put just the movie on the first disk). A 100 minute movie only ate 200mb. Once you take the main movie off, there is plenty of space.
