  1. i bought a 6600gt a couple of weeks ago but have been working away and not got round to installing it.
it's a sparkle 6600 gt which i'm led to beleive is ok.
i bought it out cheapo shop so it was made in china or something, they haveused the same bloody boxs as the 6600 and stuck a little gt sticker on it! lol but seriously it is a 6600 gt.
anyway it was a agp one i bought and the driver is for pci express, i'm not worried abot that i would rather download latest driver anyway
and also instructions for removing old driver were for windows 2000!
anyway the reason i'm asking on here is cause i can't be arsed googling it and ppl know what they are talking about on here.
so what's the best way to get this baby working?
also forgot need a molex splitter for my power thing.
all this to play a pc game, personally i thought the dreamcast was best game's console ever.

You should be able to find a molex power splitter pretty easily if you don't have a spare plug inside the computer.

    Driver is here:
    http://www.sparkle.com.tw/

To remove the old driver: Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Adapter > Properties > Driver > Uninstall.

Shut down the computer and unplug it. Pull the old card and put in the new one. Plug in the molex connector or splitter.

Turn the computer on, it should say it found the card, then direct it to the video drivers and you are done. A little fine tuning with the display settings will complete the upgrade.

  7. Drivers should be universal. I would personally use the latest official nVidia reliease. I'll be putting a Leadtek model in a Dell 4600 end of the week. Hope it all goes well.
