I figured this would already have been covered, but when I tried to search for "video cable", "component cable", or "component video" I kept getting the error page "The page cannot be displayed"...

I was gonna stop by BestBuy to pick up a set of component video cables when I realized that I have 2 MonsterVideo3 composite video cables laying around.
Is there really a difference between component video cables and composite cables?
Or is a set of component cables actually just 3 composite cables?

I would rather just buy 1 more MonsterVideo3 Composite than drop the $80 for a set of good component cables.

    Is there really a difference??

    thanks dude
a lot of it was a bit over my head, but the basics are all there
i went back to MonsterCables site and found that the specs for their MonsterVideo3 component cables are 550Mhz @ 75 ohms impedence
the specs for their MonsterVideo3 composite cables are 550Mhz @ 75 ohms
looks like the component cables are in fact just 3 composite cables
i think i can come up with some red, green, and blue stickers or paint....
