  1. sorry if i post in the wrong section, but it's been a long time since i had time to visit this forum

    okay, here's my question.

if i have a pristine mpeg 2 file as my source and I decided to change it into an AVI format (regardless of the reason). What codec should I be using?

    Mainconcept DV codec?
    Huffy codec?
    Lagarith Lossless Video Codec?
    H.264 codec?
    Panasonci Dv codec?

Which would minize the qaulity and data lose from this change?

    thanks

  2. Huffyuv, lagarith. The others compress too much.

  5. another question, in Vdub i can select "uncompressed" does this mean that what i'm capturing is identical to the source?

What's a good program or way to upsample video (avi file) to make HD content without making the qaulity faded or blurry?

    Thanks
