A few simple (stupid??) questions:
1. Where are bookmarks stored?. I would like to routinely back them up. I searched using Windows explorer but found nothing.
2. How do you change the icon associated with each bookmark?
3. Can you convert bookmarks to favorites for use by IE explorer?
Thanks in advance.

In firefox click bookmarks menu and go to Manage Bookmarks. Click File menu and use the export function to back them up to any location you choose. Its just an HTML file. You can probably import it into IE as well. Not sure on changing icons. I think that is based on what the website itself indicates.

To change favicons, use an extension called favicon picker. It will let you choose an ico file to associate with your url. Your bookmarks are stored in a file called bookmarks.html. Its location depends upon where your profile is stored (OS dependent). Just search for it. You can copy it to another location.
