Most PAL players sold in UK, Europe and Australia will playback NTSC disks. Anyway, it's not that expensive to try it out and see, is it ?

  5. Maybe there is a workaround, but with too many "if"
If your player can play raw mpeg files (that is mpeg file burnt as data also known as MpegISO) then cut a small piece burn on CD-R/RW and try to play. Adjust the setings (PAL, NTSC, AUTO) on your player and/or on theTV. If you don't know that the player can play raw mpeg - also try to see if it can
The other is to demultiplex this short mpeg and to mutiplex it as SVCD ->burn to CD-R/RW and try.
