  1. I think I have it nailed now.

If I have a SVCD mpeg. I want to put it onto a DVD. SO i do this

    1) Run it through tempenc xp 3. This is to combind the two parts I do this by outputting one file outputting as a SVCD format.

    2) I then use Mainconcept Mpeg Encoder on the SVCD file to output into DVD format. As I get warned using DVD Lab to use dvd standard mpeg

    3) DVD-Lab Pro, to take the new mpeg and transcode the data and burn the DVD.

Seems to worked well on the few iv done, just worried that am converting to many times here. Would anyone advise anything wrong with these steps or advise any improvements .

    PS Thanks to the forum

Go ahead and do a non standard DVD. Either just author them with DVDLab, ignoring the warning, or run them thru svcd2dvdmpg and author with "anything", like TDA.
I suggest you don't join the mpegs (if it's a 2 CD SVCD) before authoring.

Well, I could save you some trouble here...

    1. You can try burning an SVCD-DVD. There's a program to do it, called... err... SVCD2DVDMPG+ or some such. Do a little search. Problem is a lot of players don't like SVCD-DVD's.

    2. You could minimize your conversion steps... by doing this:

    a. Load BOTH files into Mainconcept, and re-encode them to DVD, either half-D1 (352x480) or full size, whichever you prefer. You can even batch them up so you can just hit "go" and walk away.

    b. Load the completed files into the authoring program of your choice... and go. Yeah, you'll have two chapters. *shrug* big deal, you were gonna put chapters in anyway.
