  1. Hi!

I have 3 avi movies that is about 40 minutes each, and every avi has a "srt" subtitle file. I want to make one dvd from these files, what would be the best aproach here?

  2. Encode each file separately with "DVD ffmpeg" and disable "Author as DVD". You will obtain a m2v and an ac3 file for each movie. Then use Sizzle or DVDSP to import them and create a single DVD. Unfortunately this will not keep the subtitles.

  3. Is it not possible to "burn" the subs onto the "m2v" file?

  4. Yes, if burning is enough for you then you can encode with "DVD mpeg2enc" and enable "Decode with mplayer" and "Burn", and the subtitles will be encoded in the m2v file.

is that from the start ? when you enocde the avi ? or after with the m2v file ?

  6. It is from the start, encoding AVI to "DVD mpeg2enc", as you wanted to "burn" the subtitles in.

Another method is to use selectable subtitles, which doesn't need reencoding. In this case you need to select a MPG file (video+audio) and a SRT file in the Tools tab and click "Author".

  7. Somebody who knows if there are a guide somewhere ? for joing thees files ?

  8. I don't understand exactly your question. If you mean how do you join the .m2v/ac3 files obtained from encoding various AVI files to DVD into a single DVD, you should load into Sizzle each m2v/ac3 pair as a new "title", then build the DVD.

  9. Hmm okii, can't realy understand the sizzle hehe.. When i will choise my audi file "ac3" it just come op with a box where there stands something about that it is'ent are audio file ?

  10. In that case try to use mp2 audio instead of ac3 audio (or use DVD Studio Pro instead of Sizzle).

  11. Hmm when I do this, Ffmpegx says something about the source name, hmm, i think I just burn the 2 dvd's hehe..

  12. Hmm, if I buy dvd2one "and off course ffmpegx " can i then just join the 2 disc with dvd2one ? burn them on 2 dvd-rw and then just put them on one single dvd with dvd2one ?

  13. The right way to do it is to create a single VIDEO_TS from the beginning (using Sizzle or DVD Studio Pro to author the m2v/mp2 pairs).

  14. Hey major..

I ended up with a m2v and a mpeg, "I set the audo to ac3 in ffmpegx "dvd mpeg2ence" but when i put the files in sizzel, there areno sound , is it because that sizzel can't handle AC3 ?

    Crelle..

  15. It should handle it but maybe there is a version which does not handle it well. I think the older version was better on that side. I would suggest to load the AC3 file in ffmpegX, select the "Audio file to mp2" preset, encode, and then load this mp2 file as audio in Sizzle.

  16. Damn man, tryed to encode ffmpegx to mp2, and stil when i selcet the mpeg and mpv file, there are no sound but in the video_ts there are, very strange.. will now try you idea major..

  17. WOOHUU it works when i just maded the disc in sizzle and saved it as a image, then i open the imade, and the video_ts comes op with sound and all that jiiiir

Only problem is that the subtitle is over the black bar', but still it is oki
