  1. I have spent £700 on 4 dvd's in the past 48hrs.

Here are two of my beauties. The one on the left cost £155 whcih I think was a bargain (she does not) and £130 on the one on the right. I paid through the nose for the second one but had to have it.

Salo sounds like the most repulsive film in the world. I will never watch it but as soon as I heard it was the rarest dvd in the world I HAD to have it.

  3. I sold my copy of Salo last year on ebay for over $300. It is one sick movie, I bought it for the investment. What the heck is on the right?

Is that a question? There are several versions of Salo out there. 99.9% of them bootleg. The original printing of the Criterion is the only one being of any real value. The others go for about 15 bucks.

    Hello,

Man - collectors items - you gotta know when to unload them unless you'll actually use them! Otherwise you could be stuck with a load of crap.....

    Kevin
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

For some people, it might be...but I don't think it was as bad as it's made out to be.

There is a very graphic scalping scene, but published stills of the scene were more grotesque than the actual scene in the film - it's shot at a distance and brief.

For it to show up on ebay that often, I doubt it's as rare as it's made out to be.

I'm having a much harder time tracking down the collector's edition of God's Little Acre DVD with Tina Louise's rape scene fully intact.

Only edited VHS versions surface on ebay.

You'd probably make a lot of money selling movies on ebay that were only released in the U.K.
Which wouldn't cost you much at all to obtain but could go pretty high if you sold to other countries, such as the U.S.

    Some examples -

    Up The Front
    Up Pomeii
    Tomorrow Never Comes
    Whistle Down The Wind
    Soldier Blue
Shadow of the Wolf (if your version includes the long nude scene with Jennifer Tilly, that was cut from the U.S. versions)

But real big sellers if you could get your hands on 'em, would be the complete uncut version of Ken Russell's The Devils (some footage still remains lost even in prints claiming to be uncut)

Glass Houses (1972) - most sought after due to Jennifer O'Neill's nude scene.

Era lui... sì! sì! - The Holy Grail of lost films, being it is the only movie to feature Sophia Loren in the buff, but said to be included in French prints)
This movie would probably sell more than an original Da Vinci painting...so we're talking real big money here!
But word has it that all prints were destroyed after Sophia became an International star.

The Owl And The Pussycat - Original release with Barbra Streisand's topless scene intact.
I happen to have this one and it IS extremely rare.

Then Came Bronson - Original version with nudity intact.

Warhol factory films will sell into the thousands but you'll get your ass sued by the Warhol Musem if you attempt to sell any on ebay.

Obscure Tinto Brass films would also sell very high.

The box that it comes in has some relation to the film does it not?
