  1. This is my sitiuation ! Normally I have a plain menu with 11 text-Items. I link each text item to a movie and it works like a charm. BUT know I have like 22 movies that I want to put on a DVD but I can't get that much text-items on my main menu, know I want to switch to another where I can select the remaining episodes.

I tried to make another text item that links to menu2 but when I test it, it won't go to the second menu ?

How can I solve this !!!

The only way it would not link is if you have not created the link in the first place. Don't know what else could be the problem other than that. I think you just drag the second menu over to the "Next Menu" ( or whatever ) link and it will be linked. You need to create a return link or end actions for you second set of movies. Are these pretty short clips? 22 movies per DVD?

  3. This is what I do:

    - I Duplicate my menu so I have menu1 and menu2 in the same VTS
    - In the first menu I put a text item "Menu 2"
    - In the second menu I put a text item "Menu 1"
    - I do right click --> Link --> Menu 2 on my text item in Menu 1
    - I do right click --> Link --> Menu 1 on my text item in Menu 2

Could it be that simulation mode doesn't support switching to another menu !!!

Do I need to do something with switchable menu ?

the "Simulate" doesn't normally run the DVD -- it lets you check the navigation of your menu buttons.

You can go MENU/FOLLOW-LINKS to have it jump to the other menu...

  6. Compile with dummy movies (look on the compile tab for the tick box that says, "Test Compile (Replace movies with Test Image).
You can then test the navigation in WinDVD or PowerDVD, without having to wait for it to compile the whole project.
