region code screwup

my powerdvd use to play all region codes, and now it saying that the disk in drive is not region code 1..i right click on the DVD icon and click on properties, try to change it to the right region code, it says that i have to change it to the exact one in drive...how do i change the damn region code to play anything?

In device manager, Click DVD/CD-roms and go to the properties of your DVD drive and set the Region,You can only change it 4 times,Even with formating your computer.

it says UNABLE TO UPDATE REGION SETTINGS. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE DIRVE HAS REIGION 2 DISK AND YOU HAVE ADMINISTRATIVE PRIVELAGES.

Well b4 it played everything no problem, and now i cant change the region code b.c of the above error

and on one of the DVD drives, when i check again it says i cant re-change the region code, i have ZERO changes/.//on the other 2 i still can change but when i do i still get the above error
