Talk about a fluke:
The remote batteries (indeed old) that I originally put in the Norcent remote worked fine when I used it 6 days ago. (kept included batteries sealed in the event a return was needed)
They must have died in the interim, making me think that the remote had stopped working after I flashed the DP-501M to a Lite-On LVD-2001, when they simply died.
All is well now!
=================
I flashed my Norcent DP-501M to a Lite-On LVD-2001 (using official fw 3.01) so as to take advantage of the newer firmware.
The player itself plays discs fine; however, the remote no longer works.
Is this normal?
The thread didn't mention anything about the remote no longer working after the upgrade.
Any tips and/or feebdack would be appreciated!!

Thanks!
