    I'm looking for a programe to edit old movies ..That will add color and fix the sound...

    You might use two programs to do that. I use VirtualDub Mod for simple AVI editing, along with Audacity for the audio. Both freeware. For a lot more money, there is MPEG Video Wizard for MPEGs.

    There are a whole lot of editors to the left <<<. Depends what expertise level you want and how much you want to pay.
