I want to capture all our VHS home movies.
I read that the JVC HR-S9800U and HR-S9600U were great models for this, along with other JVC's that have DigiPure and line TBC's and DNR and such.
However, I am not sure I can afford these, they are expensive.
I am not dealing with any copy-protected material or Macrovision or anything. Are there other VCR's I can find for cheaper that have features SIMILAR to the JVC and can yeild similar quality?
Didn't any other VCR's come with good noise and timebase correction circuits? From what I have read it's starting to sound like the JVC is the only way to go.

$ony's S-VHS units (if you can find them) are WAAAYY over-priced.
