Pioneer dvr 310 problemand 4 speed dv-rw

This recorder will not work with 4 speed dvr- rw discs I have tried Ritek and Verbatim and it just rejects the discs Two speed -rw are getting hard to find now does anyone else have this problem?

If I am not mistaken, the manual for 210/310 models (or, for that matter, any model in *10 series) states that the unit works only with 1.1 version (i.e. 1x & 2x) of DVD-RW media. So the problem you are experiencing is 'normal' and, to the best of my knowledge, there is not much that can be done, other than upgrading to a *20 series model or, when you find them, stocking up on 1X/2X DVD-RW media.
