Hey guys,
I know there's a thread thats tracking the relilability of this media, and from what I could gather it's pretty much hit and miss. I statred this one because I'm having a specific problem and I was wondering if anyone else has come across it...
I just got 100 Prodisc Silver Inkjet Printable from SupermediaStore (will NEVER buy from them again, but thats another story) and they came as F01's, I've burned 5 and every single one has coastered so far. The disks seem to burn fine but when I try to verify it with DVDInfoPro or any other software my computer dosent ever recognize the disk. When I play it in a a standalone it goes for about 20minutes before it starts to freeze. I thought it was my burner (a Pioneer A06 firmware ver 1.07) buy i can burn some older Prodisc White Inkprintable (S04) just fine.
I about to chuck Prodisc altogether and go with TY's....
SO has anyone elso come across this issue?
Thanks....

I was just about to start this topic! But, yeah I burnt like 6 or 7 discs last night and even though they burn perfectly, all the tests fail. Very very dissapointed. Time to get some TY discs!

Prodisc are very hit and miss and have been for the last few months. They may in fact be the worst media out there right now. I just bought 4 spindles of prodisc and all 4 are bad! Not only are they going back but this will be the very last time I buy prodisc again.

i use silver inkjet prodisc f01's with no problems at all. they work perfect, print perfect, half the cost of TY's.
i burn them at 8x.
i dont know what other people are doing but i find f01's to be great. just dont use labels on them, i didnt belive it till i tried, it screws them up! -
Another batch of Prodisc hits the dirt. Thank goodness for MCC and TY.
Still a few bugs in the system... -
I don't think I'll be using them again since they don't make the S03s anymore. Too risky for me.

I use Fuji branded 8x silver matte finish PRODISCF01 discs and they burn fine in my Pioneer 108 and play in all 4 of my dvd players without problems.
