I looking for a guide and / or info on how to back-up a 16:9 (widescreen) DVD to 4:3 (Fullscreen). I'd like to use CCE-Basic with AviSynth 2.5 to crop and then re-encode the video to fit on a DVDR. Also, if possible, I'd like to do this within DVDRebuilder but would be will to do it outside of DVDRebuilder if necessary.
Please don't flame me for wanting to "change" what the director intended me to see (16:9) to what I'd like to see (4:3). My reasons, I purchased a Humax DVDR Tivo unit that doesn't have zoom. My old DVD player (Toshiba SD2800) did so I could zoom and get the fullscreen effect on my TV. My plans for all my Widescreen DVDs, which I usually buy the widescreen version, is to make a widescreen and a fullscreen backup. I'll save the widescreen for when I get a nice widescreen TV (far into the future) and use the fullscreen version for my current TV.
Thanks.

Ok, there is much more on this, but if you are lucky, then only this info will do:
Open dgmpgdec and create the .d2v file for the movie .vobs
(you should know here how to do the "force film" if its necessary. This option in dgmpgdec will perform a IVTC)
Open avisynth and load the dgdecode.dll, and load the .d2v file.
Resize the 16:9 movie to 854x480 if its NTSC
then Crop 107 on left and 107 on right.
Then resize it to 720x480, and re-encode it as 4:3 NTSC DVD now.
Then you copy all the menus and stuff.
