    Has anyone solved the capture limit on the AVI AWN PCI?
    I tried upgrading but the installer didn't reconized the card saying it wasn't a Rage Pro. I got the upgrade from the ATI sitre stating it will fix the limit problem. BTY... I have a 8 gig partition (16 gigs total).

    I get 43 minutes of capture with these manual settings.


    FPS: 29.97
    44100HZ Stero 16bit
    ATI VCR 2.0 Compression
    320/240 Size


    And that works fine for me.

    the software/codec combination has a restriction to a certain # of frames

    so either get a new codec, like PicVideo MJPEG, which is about equal quality at setting 19-20 and use virtualdub, or go to high bitrate I-frame only MPEG (basically MJPEG). use at least 6Mbps for that.
