Some people aren't obsessed with burn speed.

Nor any @ stores near Santa Monica, CA. Closest is in Montclair - 44 miles away . On a related note, TDK 25 packs (unknown speed) are on sale @ $7.95. http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=114998

  11. I have poor luck with most of these Circuit City clearance deals, I think the employees probably buy them before the customers get the chance alot of times. Probably not worth driving all over looking for them.

It comes out to about $20 per 100, a good deal but not worth driving a long way just to see if they're in stock. Office Max had 'Value Disc' 4x discs for $10 per 50 after rebate last week, the -R discs I bought are TTG01, 4x TDK media.

    They're not?

  15. Incredibly, no. Alot of us would gladly use these at 2x since they are good quality. They probably would burn fine at 4x on my NECs anyway, if I wanted to burn faster. I burn half my stuff at 4x, some at 8x and some at 2x, if the quality is good I can wait.
