OK, I ran out of disk space while running AVI2SVCD (DVD2SVCD) 1.2.2 build 3 and now have 2 large MPEG files (750 MB) that I want to convert into SVCD.
I tried to use Nero to do conversion and burn - but it failed saying not enough space (after hours of analyzing/converting).
Is there a way to manually run the VCDXbuild to make the bin/cue file?
I have been able to get the help page but can't figure out where to specify the input file name.
I understand the --verbose --cue-file= "name.cue" --bin-file="name.bin" but how do I specify my input mpeg file name.
Thanks in advance....
BTW, Here is my configuration:
OS: Win 2K Pro
CPU: Dual PIII 450 MHz
RAM: 1 GB
HDD: 80 GB
CDW: LG 52x (GCE-8526B)
DVD Player (Stand alone): Malata DVD-393
Software:
AVI2SVCD 1.2.2 build 3
VirtualDub 1.5.10
Cinema Craft Encoder 5.5
Nero Express 6.3.1.12 // VCDEasy 2.1.1 (Trial Version) - Not Working

AVI2SVCD supports re-starting the job from a failure point. (if all the work files are still available).
Under the 'Misc' Tab there is a Recover option, if you re-load the job you may be able to re-start from the failed point by selecting the re-start step from the drop-down list. -
Thanks, but due to running out of disk space I turfed the work files.
That is why I would like to try to run manually.Snoopy

'vcdxbuild' reads the XML file that was created in the AVI2SVCD job, it gets the mpeg file info from there.
It sounds like you may have deleted the XML file.
If you want to just create the cue/bin with the video only and no chapters you can run the 'vcdimager' program and just put the mpg filename at the end of the command string..
e.g.
Code:vcdimager --type=svcd yourvideo.mpg"

Glad it helped.
(sorry about the typo in the example - I've corrected it - but obviously you noticed it).
