  1. Hiya CB,

My cousin gave me a DVD that was made for him of the acts that he manages and as a rush job asked me to run a few off buth put a little menu on the front.

    Contents of VIDEO_TS

    Directory of S:\steve\dvd - stripped\VIDEO_TS

    01/01/2000 00:00 12,288 VIDEO_TS.BUP
    01/01/2000 00:00 12,288 VIDEO_TS.IFO
    01/01/2000 00:00 327,680 VIDEO_TS.VOB
    01/01/2000 00:00 24,576 VTS_01_0.BUP
    01/01/2000 00:00 24,576 VTS_01_0.IFO
    01/01/2000 00:00 170,033,152 VTS_01_1.VOB
    01/01/2000 00:00 170,033,152 VTS_01_2.VOB
    01/01/2000 00:00 170,033,152 VTS_01_3.VOB
    01/01/2000 00:00 170,033,152 VTS_01_4.VOB
    01/01/2000 00:00 170,098,688 VTS_01_5.VOB

So I copied the 01_1/2/3/4/5/6.vob to my svcd2dvd server and renamed them to .mpg's.

it had to resample numbers 2/4/5 but said 1/3 were ok.

But when I tried to author with a menu (or even without) dvdfolder.exe crashed.

I narrowed it down to VTS_01_1.MPG (vob). I can author any combination of 2/3/4/5 on their own... in a group etc... but 01_1 causes dvd to error. I tried this on 1.5 as well with same effects (of a crash).

Do you still have your ftp server ?

Could I upload say 01_1 and 01_2 for you to see if you can replicate the issue please.

If you need me to paste screengrabs etc.... let me know and I will do.

    Cheers

    Dave.

  3. Hiya,

Cheers for that. They are uploading now.
I have sent the files directly from the source DVD (i.e. before I ran svcd and it resampled number 2).

  6. Hello mate,

Lol you're gonna hate me... it kept failing... so I had to .rar up both of the .vob's.. and split it... in to 80 parts... doh... but they're all uploaded in the voberror directory.

    Cheers

ok. There is some corruption in the first vob @ around 95MB.

    Here's what i did:

    - Used VOB2MPG to join the 2 VOBs and create a mpg.
    - Loaded up said mpg in VideoReDo and did a "quick stream fix"
    - Loaded fixed mpg into S2D RC2.
    - produced and burnt a spot-on DVD with some very saucy "act"

Sometimes you will get dodgy source files in which case VideoReDo or Womble come to the rescue!

  9. Top man... I'll give VideoReDo a look... I thought it was corruption.. but just needed it to be confirmed.

You truly are a scholar and a gent.
(have just upgraded to RC2 as well)
