  1. Correct me if Im wrong but Adobe DVD Encore is an excellent program when it comes to making your own DVDS, especially when creating amazing menus and chapters. One thing although that I noticed is that if I were to load a preset DVD file (mpeg-2), just so I can make my menu and chapters, when making a DVD folder it transcodes and thats what really bugs me. Why cant it just make DVD folder without transcoding anyway to avoid that? Or export the menu to another program so i can load it and author it? Thanks.

    RECAP:
    ---------
Will load DVD mpeg file and I make menu + chapters
But when authoring it transcodes (not needed)
    anyway to avoid that?

  2. What the reason you don't like transcoding process?

  4. In the project tab, right click on the name of the film. When the drop down box appears choose transcode settings>don't transcode. See if that works.
It doesn't matter who you vote for. The government always gets in.

  6. Did ya try to convert the video without audio (m2v) and then the audio to AC3 with Acid or FFMpeg? Import those assets (video.m2v and audio.ac3) and place them in a timeline. That works for me. Never transcodes that way.

  8. ok i loaded the .m2v file only without audio and it still transcodes, errrr

  9. The mp2 should work just fine...but with AC3 youīll get the same sound quality, about 1/3 the size of the mp2, and itīs multichannel...mp2 is not.

  12. not quite sure if this is what is causing it, but once transcoded the project will use the trascoded file as reference. if you want to transcode it with other settings, you have to select the avi or wav, right click and select "revert to original" (don't know the exact english translation) - then it will use the original avi or wav as reference, from there encore will reencode with the settings you choose, or in your case, NOT reencode if that's what you select.

hope you understand what i mean...hard to explain.
