  1. Huh? I tried magix and nero vision, but all audio is completely gone.
No doubt about it. I previously did burn with sound in nero vision.
I heared no sound during the authoring either, come to think about it. I don't recall if there used to be sound in that stage. (Copying directly with shrink keeps the sound intact.)

This may or may not be related to another problem that VOBS coming from magix don't register for their full length in nero vision, but only as a few seconds.

I'd really really like suggestions what to do.
(Prove me a n00b, and I'll be glad. As long as it helps. I will soon get tired from watching only a few good silent movies... )

  4. (Moved??)

Re-authoring from VOB's stored both on hdd and dvd-r. Creating menu (no problems there) but where the sound should display there is a flat line in magix.

Incidentally I used magix because nero vision couldn't open some of the VOB's that were created with magix, they'd register as a few seconds. But both authoring programs lost all audio. Nero vision did work succesfully before, but now that too burns without sound.

  5. Not sure why you should have a problem. Firstly check to see that your Vobs have audio. Use Tmpgenc DVD Author to load the Vobs and create your DVD.

  6. Well, I can try again, or try with tmpgenc, but it seems very unlikely that the files would be extracted without sound.

  7. Also I don't think this is a newbie problem. At least, if it is, than there should be an easy solution.
So perhaps the topic should not have been moved.

  8. Allright, TMPGENC did the trick.
SO the problem is circumvented instead of solved but hat's fine with me.

Only drawback... TMPGenc can't add VOBfiles that have no IFO... argh

Sounds like a newbie-ish problem to me...

Don't take it the wrong way. Putting threads in the appropriate forum means that you are more likely to get the answers you want.
