  1. Few times ago, we burned all our video files on dvd to make place on the PC. All those videos were m2p files. We used Encore DVD to burn them.

The problem is that now, we can't read any file that is over 1 Go. All the files smaller than 1 Go can be read just fine. This happens on any DVD. We can't copy the files on PC either, though we can on Mac but we still can't read them and get broken or corrupted files.

Does anyone have an idea of what happened, because I didnt hear of any file size limitations anywhere and it seems like no such thing has ever happened to anyone.
And if someone 'd have a solution for repairing or recovering our data, I 'd be very grateful.

    Tanks

  3. Sure, if it's the PC system you're talking about, we tried on Windows XP and 2000 and on Mac OSX. All those conputers are pretty recent and were bought for video processing, I wont tell all the processors but they should way be powerful enough.

We captured and encoded the videos with canopus MVR1000.
The DVD Burner is an external LaCie DVD rewritable drive. We burnt the video with AdobeEncore DVD as a Folder data thing.

    Thanks

Well, the first thing to do is try a different SW package. try TMPGEnc DVD Author. This is one of the packages that I use and have had no problems.

  5. Well, but there were no chapters or anything on our dvd, there were just files. We dont want to create dvd that can be read on dvd players or interactivity or anything, that is just a back up of files. It happened to be video but it could have been some other data.
What I would really like now is to have a way to get them repaired.
    Thank you anyway
