Updated version of Media Player Classic

I'm not sure of the changes made to Media Player Classic since v6.4.8.2, but this thread may help:

Note that the new file is huge (over 4 megs) compared to 6.4.8.2 (a bit over 1 meg). Apparently a type of .exe compression was used on the earlier version. You may not want to bother with the new one unless you're looking for bug fixes and/or new features you need.

You know what I'd like? I'd like the guy who writes the Quicktime and Real Alternatives to expose whatever he has to expost to make them work in a player OTHER than MPC. I'm not particularly FOND of MPC in the first place.

I actually initially upx'ed it and zipped it same as Gabest, but then some people didn't want it compressed so I figured release a regular z-zipped exe and anyone who wants a smaller one can use an exe packer themselves. It is actually larger than 6.4.8.2 though.

To playback real media content in other dshow players you simply need an external version Gabest's real media splitter, but then if you don't like his player, then maybe you don't like his filter either?

For quicktime, try Cyberlinks dshow filter. In both cases you need real player/ quicktime installed or at least their codecs. Some quicktime files can also be decoded by say 3ivX's splitter and ffdshow.

Quick question, do you have a link to a changelog of *any* sort between this version and 6.4.8.2? Would really appreciate it if you did.

All the updates just have *** empty log message *** so I guess if you cut and paste that 100 or so times you have the changelog. There are however a few obvious things like the subtitle database and shader.

For specific differences you can access the source: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/guliverkli/guliverkli/ to see what changes have been made.
