    Hi,

I have found a subtitle file for my avi film in my native language and would like to knopw how to get it to play correctly using vobsub.
I've used a subtitle file to re-author a dvd and had the subtitles work fine by selecting the language script.
Is there such a selection in vobsub so I can vies the subtitles with their correct characters and not as random symbols?

    thanks

You need to select a font that is capable of displaying your language. Never tried it but with mkv files you are supposed to be able to attatch a font which will be used for subs on playback, although I guess you still need to have the right playback setup.

    Ok.
    So i've found a way.
Open in Word to encode jibberish to greek.
    Copy paste to notepad.
    Save text file as unicode.
