What is meant here is encoding to SVCD RESOLUTION. I.e 480 width. The bitrate is 4000kbs.

What are you trying to do? Do you want a DVD with only that divx source on it?

  3. I have some source files (TV shows) that were encoded in DiVX and I am trying to use SVCD2DVD as a one-click solution to convert them to SVCD (480, 2500 kbps), create a DVD menu, and burn 5 episodes to a DVD-R. Previously I had been using Canopus procoder to do the conversion and SVCD2DVD 1.5 to create the menu and VIDEO_TS folders, but while the results are very very good it is very very very slow. From what you indicate, SVCD2DVD will only do 4000 kbps, which I hadn't realized. So, it is not really a bother for me to use procoder...

Thanks for such an excellent program, the menu creation system, especially the "Align Vertical Right" is a godsend

ok. If you wait a couple of days then RC2 will suit you better. You will be able to load up the 5 avi files into SVCD2DVD and it will ensure that they will fit on the DVD.
