can you import a .SRT to a subtitle steam for DVD authoring?

I'm, planning to author a DVD, from a DivX avi with a seprate file .srt

I want the subtitle have an "on or off" option in my DVD.

I don't want it embed in the video

DIKO, SVCD2DVD and TheFilmmachine(avi to dvd tools) all support swithable subtitles and you can use the srt.

Or import the srt in dvd-lab pro(click on a empty subtitle track and select import) when you author.

Or convert the srt to sup and author with ifoedit, rejig, muxman.
