Advice please my American friends

Okey Dokey, el ugly is off to Boston and NY on Wednesday. I am thinking of booking a seat on the same flight as her as a suprise, and getting a cab in Boston to her parents house.

The thing I am not sure off is whether the cab will go from the airport to her parents house. I have been there once before and it was about an hours drive. I would call a cab firm to check but I am not sure of who to call.

Her parents live in a place called Paxton just outside Richmond in Boston. Do any of you guys have any contacts or may be able to help?

cabs will take you anywhere - even cross country .. a hour or two drive is nothing , specially in Boston ..

Buy a Boston Red Sox hat (cap); they won the World Series, and if you wear one in the Boston area, any of the locals will probably help you if you need it. Just say you're a fan from London, and your favourite player is Johnny Damon. ^_^

Plus it is meant to be a suprise, I want to be on there doorstep before they turn up.

I'd find it on a map and print it out and take it with you in case. My map tells me Paxton is 1 hour from there.... At the ver least you'll have the directions.

My brother runs an airport shuttle van out of Boston airport. I know damn well he'd make the drive. If you're interested, I can give him a call. By the way, the company he works for has limos as well.

I did the limo bit in Chicago. Worth every penny.

Better weather, nicer people and all the stuff you want to buy is cheaper. My cousin whose been living in the UK for 2 years just came home for a holiday and blew that much money shopping because everything was so cheap.

I don't know much about Boston public transportation, but in most areas there is public transportation available to take you at least part of the way then you can pick up a cab or have the parents pick you up from the nearest train or bus stop, etc.
