  1. Not my imagination. When I try to burn to -R I get an error and the burn is incomplete. When I use +R I am fine. I have a Plextor 712A. Anyone else notice this?

    Try different brands of blank -r....

    Lite-on drives (I have an 812S) are also notorious for being very picky with -R and much more reliable with +R. I have pretty much given up on -R for my drive.
